About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Remote Operations Engineer to support day-to-day IT operations for an established Australian Managed Service Provider. You will focus on backup monitoring and verification, patch remediation, and routine infrastructure health checks across diverse client environments.

What You Will Do

• Perform recurring backup health checks across client environments using Veeam, Azure Backup, and Datto solutions.
• Review backup job histories, investigate warning indicators, and conduct test restores to verify recoverability.
• Review automated patch compliance tickets via Datto RMM and perform approved remediation activities.
• Execute recurring infrastructure health checks and follow standard operating procedures.
• Create detailed escalation tickets containing error messages, troubleshooting history, and verification results.

What You Need

• Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, Azure Backup, and Datto BCDR platforms.
• Practical experience using Datto RMM for endpoint monitoring, patch deployment, and compliance verification.
• Understanding of Windows Server administration, troubleshooting updates, and basic PowerShell scripting.
• Strong background in structured IT operations, ticketing systems, and technical documentation.
• Clear written English communication and strong problem-solving skills.

Work Arrangement

• Full-time remote position.
• Paid in Australian Dollars with medical insurance, OPD coverage, home office setup allowance, internet allowance, and gym & wellness allowance.
