You will work with an established managed services provider supporting businesses across Australia with managed IT services, cloud solutions, technology procurement, and software licensing. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership, advanced escalation support, solution architecture, and complex project delivery across Microsoft, cloud, networking, and security environments. You will solve complex technical challenges, lead infrastructure initiatives, mentor technical teams, and build trusted relationships with clients.

What You Will Do

• Act as the highest level of technical escalation for Level 1 to Level 3 engineers
• Lead root cause analysis for complex infrastructure and cloud issues
• Design, implement, and optimise Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, security, SharePoint, Teams Phone, and Azure environments
• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise networking, firewalls, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and internet connectivity
• Conduct security reviews, implement cybersecurity controls, and support compliance frameworks like Essential Eight and CIS Controls
• Lead the design and delivery of complex infrastructure and cloud projects while maintaining accurate technical documentation
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients and translate technical solutions into clear business outcomes

What You Need

• 10+ years of IT industry experience, with 5+ years within an MSP environment supporting multiple customers
• Advanced Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, and cloud infrastructure expertise
• Advanced networking and firewall administration skills, including enterprise Wi-Fi, routing, switching, and VPNs
• Strong understanding of endpoint security, backup and disaster recovery, PowerShell scripting, and cybersecurity principles
• Proven experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and managing client relationships
• Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified Enterprise, Azure, or Security Expert, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, and ITIL Foundation
