About the Role

MAS Holdings is offering a technical internship opportunity based at Femography in Dehiwala for undergraduates looking to gain hands-on experience in research and development.

What You Will Do

• Assist in developing prototype samples by defining and evaluating bonding processes, adhesives, machinery, and testing parameters
• Conduct testing and analysis to verify the suitability of materials, adhesives, equipment, and methods for specific applications
• Support interactions with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate product development activities
• Assist in implementing bonding and ultrasonic development standards for trial, test, and bulk production
• Evaluate production feasibility and workability of bonding and ultrasonic technologies to ensure successful implementation
• Participate in research concerning new technologies, materials, machinery, and processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, presentations, drawings, and analysis related to ongoing development projects

What You Need

• Undergraduate student currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, product development, and engineering principles
• Strong interest in research, testing, process development, and emerging technologies
• Ability to analyze data, interpret test results, and provide practical recommendations
• Good problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Capability to prepare clear technical reports, presentations, and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn within a dynamic R&D environment

Work Arrangement

• Full-time internship located on-site at Femography, Dehiwala, Sri Lanka
