About the Role

This contract opening drives the technical direction and architectural scalability of core data integration and product expansion roadmaps. You will take hands-on technical ownership of engineering pods, optimize high-throughput ETL pipelines, and tune database performance.

What You Will Do

• Define and maintain long-term technical vision, performance standards, and architectural guardrails for systems
• Lead technical scoping, code reviews, and architectural design for major feature streams while balancing technical debt
• Directly lead, mentor, and support the career growth of a focused group of software engineers
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to scale system integrations and drive architectural expansion

What You Need

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience with at least 2 years leading engineering pods or acting as a Tech Lead
• Advanced proficiency in Python, .NET, and C#
• Proven experience building and maintaining robust ETL pipelines with Apache Airflow
• Strong expertise in MSSQL and PostgreSQL database design, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience deploying scalable data architecture using core AWS technologies like S3, RDS, Lambda, and ECS

• Contract engagement based in Colombo
