Teamified is a talent partner that helps companies build exceptional remote teams across IT, software, product, and digital innovation. They are working with an innovative Australian health technology company developing an AI-powered anxiety coaching application.

About the Role

As the Senior Founding Product Engineer, you will own the product's engineering end-to-end as the sole engineering function for an AI-powered anxiety coaching platform. Working directly with a non-technical founder, you will use AI-first tooling to plan, build, and ship features rapidly.

What You Will Do

• Own the AI Coach including prompt architecture, conversation state, RAG retrieval, model evaluation, and safety/crisis layers.
• Manage backend development using Python, FastAPI, GraphQL, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQL on AWS.
• Deliver mobile and web applications using React Native for iOS and Android, and React for web, including payment integrations.
• Handle release engineering, CI/CD, environments, monitoring, and app store review cycles.
• Translate technical decisions into plain language for the founder and clinical team.

What You Need

• Proven experience shipping LLM-based products to production including prompt design, state machines, and safety handling.
• Strong backend engineering skills with Python, FastAPI, SQL/PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Solid proficiency in React Native and React for cross-platform mobile and web delivery.
• Demonstrated practice with AI-first development and agentic coding tools.
• A keen product sensibility for mobile and web UX and a self-sufficient operational track record.
