About the Role

Millennium IT ESP is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer on a fixed-term basis to provide critical L2 and L3 technical support within a dynamic 24x7 managed services environment.

What You Will Do

• Provide L2 and L3 technical support for managed cyber security solutions within a 24x7 shift-based environment
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve security technology incidents and service requests escalated by customers or the Security Monitoring team
• Deliver technical support for firewalls, endpoint security, WAF, NAC, VPN, and other portfolio security technologies
• Conduct routine operational activities, health checks, configuration verifications, and approved security policy modifications
• Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes according to ITIL best practices and operational procedures
• Ensure timely incident resolution, accurate ticket updates, appropriate escalation, and SLA compliance
• Coordinate with L3 engineering teams, vendors, customers, and the Security Monitoring team to facilitate incident resolution
• Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting logs, knowledge articles, operational reports, and shift handover records
• Identify recurring technical issues and contribute to operational efficiency and service quality initiatives

What You Need

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 or more years of experience in the cyber security domain
• Exposure to security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint security, web application security, or monitoring solutions
• Good understanding of cyber security principles, security controls, and industry best practices
• Professional certifications including Check Point, Palo Alto, Imperva, F5, Fortinet, Cisco Security, or equivalent
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills with a willingness to learn and expand technical expertise

Work Arrangement

• Fixed-term contract
• Shift-based operations in a 24x7 environment
• On-site in Colombo, Sri Lanka
