About the Role

Millennium IT ESP is seeking an intern to support the Managed Services team with network device configuration, monitoring, and infrastructure projects.

What You Will Do

• Assist in setting up and configuring network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
• Help diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems and performance issues
• Support the implementation and delivery of new network projects, upgrades, and expansions
• Monitor network traffic and performance metrics using specialized tools and report findings to senior engineers
• Maintain up-to-date documentation regarding network configurations, changes, and procedures

What You Need

• Currently an undergraduate in Networking, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Professional certifications in Network Engineering such as Cisco CCNA, Fortinet FCA, Huawei HCIA, or equivalent
• Solid understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, as well as network security best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Ability to handle pressure effectively along with strong communication and customer management skills

Work Arrangement

• Internship based on-site in Colombo
