About the Role

Zebra Technologies is seeking a passionate Software Engineering Intern to join their Non-Windows SDKs and Tools team in Sri Lanka for a 6-month period. You will contribute to mission-critical utilities and Software Development Kits that power data capture devices across Android, iOS, and Linux platforms.

What You Will Do

• Assist in the design, development, and testing of software tools and SDKs for non-Windows environments
• Collaborate with Technical Leads and Senior Engineers through daily stand-ups and Agile/Scrum sprint planning
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to device connectivity, data parsing, and scanner utilities
• Gain hands-on experience with enterprise-grade hardware and RFID technology under the guidance of industry experts

What You Need

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Foundational knowledge in object-oriented programming such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, C++, or Python
• Familiarity with non-Windows operating systems including Android, iOS, or Linux
• Basic understanding of Agile development methodologies with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Work Arrangement

• 6-month internship based in Colombo, featuring hybrid work flexibility, adaptable hours, and mentorship from experienced engineering leaders
