About the Role

Oceans is seeking a Forensic Accountant to join their global financial advisory firm specializing in corporate restructuring, insolvency, liquidations, forensic accounting, and asset recovery. In this role, you will take ownership of complex investigative workstreams and statutory reporting to support institutional lenders, hedge funds, banks, and multinational entities.

What You Will Do

Analyze historical financial records, bank statements, and supporting documentation to identify critical findings and anomalies
Perform comprehensive transaction tracing, fund-flow mapping, and asset recovery investigations across multi-entity corporate structures
Assist court-appointed and voluntary liquidators with statutory liquidation and insolvency processes from inception to closure
Perform complex general ledger reconciliations and reconstruct incomplete or compromised historical financial statements
Leverage Microsoft 365, Xero, Harvest, and AI productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT to streamline workflows

What You Need

At least 5 years of progressive professional experience in audit, forensic accounting, corporate restructuring, insolvency, or financial investigations
Strong command of financial statement analysis, US GAAP, IFRS, and statutory liquidation frameworks
Hands-on proficiency with cloud accounting platforms, advanced Excel, and time-tracking systems
Exceptional written English communication skills for drafting formal statutory reports and correspondence
