About the Role

Oceans is seeking an analytical Conversion Rate Optimization Strategist to partner with a specialized e-commerce performance agency. You will independently manage end-to-end CRO programs for client brands, turning research into testable hypotheses and data-driven improvements.

What You Will Do

• Conduct structured quantitative and qualitative research to identify conversion bottlenecks across e-commerce storefronts.
• Analyze Google Analytics 4 data, customer surveys, feedback, and Microsoft Clarity heat maps to uncover user behavior insights.
• Build, prioritize, and manage experimentation roadmaps and formulate clear A/B testing hypotheses.
• Prepare briefs for design and copy teams, coordinate test launches, and monitor live experiments.
• Evaluate A/B test outcomes using statistical judgment and map out visual conversion funnels using Figma.
• Collaborate daily via Slack, Loom, and standups with designers, copywriters, project managers, and agency founders.

What You Need

• Hands-on experience owning end-to-end conversion rate optimization programs and A/B testing within a dedicated CRO agency or e-commerce function.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Analytics 4 for analyzing funnel drop-offs and user behavior.
• Proven track record running A/B tests and evaluating results using sound statistical principles.
• Practical experience optimizing direct-to-consumer Shopify stores, product detail pages, and checkout journeys.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Clarity, Figma, Slack, and Loom.
• Comfort utilizing AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to streamline research without compromising strategic judgment.
