About the Role

MAS Holdings is offering an Industrial Engineering Internship based at Silueta in Biyagama. This role provides hands-on exposure to industrial engineering practices, process optimization, and lean manufacturing within a fast-paced production environment.

What You Will Do

Conduct time and method studies to evaluate operational performance and maintain Standard Minute Values (SMVs) using GSD or equivalent methodologies.
Support the development and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operation bulletins, and work instructions.
Assist in designing production line layouts and balancing operations to improve workflow efficiency and reduce work in progress.
Participate in pre-production reviews by evaluating styles and supporting method improvements and tooling solutions.
Monitor line efficiency, production performance, target achievement, and operational key performance indicators.
Prepare and present performance reports to support operational decision-making.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing.

What You Need

Currently an undergraduate or recent graduate with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related discipline.
Basic knowledge of industrial engineering concepts, production systems, and process improvement methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with a strong interest in data analysis and reporting.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S, Kaizen, and waste elimination.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
