💻 Part Time Teacher - Programming & Computer Science

A US-based non-profit organization offering online weekend classes for students in Grades 5–12 is looking for a committed part-time teacher to conduct engaging online classes. This is a great opportunity for fresh graduates and university students to gain teaching experience while earning a part-time income.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, slides
• Teach engaging online lessons via Zoom to a young audience
• Prepare and assign weekly homework to assess student skills
• Grade assignments and provide feedback
• Participate in curriculum planning and coordination

Requirements

• Strong English communication skills
• Good knowledge of some of these areas: Python, Computer Science, AI/Data Science
• Passion for teaching and working with young students
• Familiarity with Zoom, Google Docs, and Google Drive
• Own computer and reliable internet connection
• Preferred: Experience teaching Python, AI/Data Science, or competitive programming (ACSL/USACO)

Schedule

• Minimum 4 hours per weekend
• Must be available Sunday mornings from 6:00 AM (Sri Lanka Time) onwards

Compensation

• LKR 10,000 for the first 3 months, increase considered thereafter based on performance and experience level

• AI & Data Science: NumPy, Pandas, Data Visualization, Git, Predictive Models, LLMs & APIs
• Beginner Python: Control Flow, Loops, Lists, Dictionaries, Functions, Files & Simple Games
• ACSL: Number Systems, Boolean Algebra, Graph Theory & Digital Electronics
• Intermediate Programming: Algorithms, Data Structures, Searching & Graphs
