At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Data Analyst / Data Engineer to transform business data into reliable reporting, actionable insights, and scalable data systems. Depending on your experience, this role may lean toward data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or a combination of these areas. You will work with SQL, dashboards, reporting tools, databases, and data pipelines to help teams better understand performance and make informed business decisions.

What You Will Do

• Collect, clean, organize, and analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and performance drivers
• Write, maintain, and optimize SQL queries while working with relational databases and structured datasets
• Develop and maintain dashboards and recurring reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar BI platforms
• Build or maintain data pipelines and integrations to connect business systems and reporting environments
• Automate recurring reporting and data preparation processes to reduce manual spreadsheet work
• Monitor and improve data accuracy, validate reporting outputs, and maintain organized documentation
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate questions into analytical tasks, and present clear findings

What You Need

• 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or a related role
• Strong hands-on SQL skills along with experience using Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Experience using at least one BI or visualization platform such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Familiarity with databases, data warehouses, and data pipelines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
• Professional working English proficiency and the ability to work independently in a remote environment

Work Arrangement

• Full-time, remote position operating during U.S. Business Hours
• Location: Sri Lanka
